Food contact surfaces would be any surfaces that touch food such as dishes, cooking utensils, and countertops. Application of Product
Aseptic Plus can be used in spray, sponge, mop, immersion, and in electrostatic sprayers, ULV sprayers, fogging, and misting machines. Both hand-held devices and backpack sprayers can be used. Take measures to thoroughly clean the area before applying the disinfect. It is imperative to remove any visible dirt. This product can be diluted for different applications. Use at full strength for deodorizing at 1 quart per 2000 cubic feet following fogger manufacturer’s directions. To sanitize food contact surfaces, mix 1 part Aseptic +Plus to 9 parts of tap water. To sanitize synthetic carpet (nylon, olefin, polypropylene) mix 1 part Aseptic +Plus to 5 parts tap water or use full strength at a 2.5 ounces per square feet. Test for color fastness. This product is not intended for use on wool carpets. For cleaning floors add one cup per gallon of water in a bucket and clean with a sponge, pad, or mop. To disinfect hard non-porous surfaces, apply full strength to pre-cleaned areas wetting thoroughly. Allow the surfaces to remain wet for 5 minutes for virus inactivation or 10 minutes for bacteria disinfection. For immersion replace solution daily or more frequently if it becomes significantly soiled or diluted. Remove or carefully protect all food and food packaging materials prior to treatment. When using spraying or fogging machines, refer to the manufacturer’s directions. When spraying for mold or mildew, hold the sprayer a distance of 12 inches from the target and spray until visibly wet, then allow to air dry. When fogging, it is recommended to vacate the treatment areas during the service and not re-enter until the air is clear – minimum 20 minutes for re-entry. No PPE is required. It is non-irritating to skin so no gloves are required.
EPA Approved
In May of 2020 the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) released its N tool, a web-based application that allows consumers to quickly identify disinfectant products that meet the EPA’s criteria for use against SARS-CoV-2, the virus that causes the Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19).
