Clinical Studies and Field Tests

In laboratory tests, a variety of different materials, including wood, fabrics, and metals, were used to artificially reproduce some of the most common places where bed bugs nest. In each of these simulations, the experiments nested adult insects, nymphs, and pregnant females in the materials. A single treatment with Polti’s super-heated dry steam was enough to eliminate all of the eggs present and over 90% of the adult insects and instars (nymph stages). In field tests, a series of real-life infestations were selected, analyzed, and treated with Polti’s superheated dry steam. The results obtained in the experiments were impressive.
