Introducing the Black Widow 800 Propane Bed Bug Heater

Introducing a propane bed bug heater that uses cutting-edge advanced technology with user-friendly features. The technology allows the use of grill size propane tanks as opposed to the heavy, larger tanks. Have you ever wished, in your pest control business or on a construction site to have a propane heater that can be placed inside the room, using lighter propane tanks which are much easier to maneuver? Bed Bug Heat Doctor/Prevsol is proud to introduce the new Black Widow 800 Propane Heater.

Introduction and Efficiency
A direct-fired propane heater is highly efficient in converting fuel to heat with minimal loss, generating significant heat output. The Black Widow 800 Direct-Fired Propane Bed Bug Heater features quiet and efficient operation, making it a top choice for effective bed bug treatment.

Design and Features
The Black Widow 800 is built in North America by Flagro, owned by Sunbelt. Spare parts are readily available without the need for overseas shipments. The heater also features a 450-cfm built-in fan, thermostat control, compact design, and easy setup.

Its compact design allows for easy transportation through elevators and narrow hallways, making it ideal for use in apartment complexes, high-rise buildings, camps, and housing authorities. It weighs only 122 pounds and has a compact size measuring 31” x 22” x 27”. The heater includes a full wheel axle to prevent wheel bending during maneuvering and oversized wheels for easy navigation up and down stairs.

The remote thermostat temperature control offers a safe and simple way to set the target temperature and monitor it during the treatment without the need to enter the heated area. The thermostat can be monitored from up to 25 feet from the treatment area.

Specifications and Requirements
The Black Widow 800 Propane Bed Bug Heater has 85,000 BTUs giving it the capacity to treat 850 to 1,000 square feet. This high heat capacity is equivalent to 25.4 kW of electric heat. It is powered by two standard 20-pound propane tanks or one to two 30-pound propane tanks which are not included with the heaters. This heater also requires a single grounded 120-volt circuit. The Black Widow 800 is certified to ANSI z223.1 NFPA 54 standards for the US and Canada.

Ease of Use and Maintenance
The Black Widow 800’s compact design makes it easy to maneuver in tight spaces and transport from job site to job site. It can be placed in the treatment area by simply leaving a window open six inches. There is no need for a fresh air module in the window. The heater is designed to bring air in one side and discharge heated air out the other, ensuring even temperature distribution. Optional ducting can be used to distribute heat further. The system includes built-in temperature, airflow, and flame monitoring, requiring minimal operating training and can be transported and operated by a single technician. Effective bed bug heat treatment can be completed in as little as 4 hours for smaller spaces and 6 hours for larger spaces.

A variety of packages are available for the Black Widow 800 Propane Bed Bug Heaters. We offer three single heater packages that include different accessories and number of axial fans.
